George Washington Invite 2025
The Cougs headed east to the nations capitol to get some great racing against top ACRA peers. Lots of close racing between the teams and a lot of improvement from all crews across the board. The 1V closed out the GW invite with a win over Delaware and Potomac Rowing Club. The 1N was able to cap off their GW Invite as well with a win over Virginia and George Washington. The 2V showed a lot of improvement on Saturday by going 8 seconds faster than their first race and closing a 12 second gap between them and a very strong Bucknell Crew from the morning session. All in all a great showing by the Cougs and good to get some close racing against strong competition in Washington. Next week the Cougs look to defend their home waters and regain the Fawley Cup against Gonzaga University.
The Mens 1V vs Delaware and Potomac
“We had a bit of an up and down weekend but we were all glad that we were able to finish off strong and get a very hard fought victory in our final race of the weekend. The guys showed a lot of resilience and courage in the final 750 meters and really started to push away from the other crews. Was good to get these races in against our ACRA peers and there is still plenty of speed on the table” - Frank Coddington ‘26, 1V8+ 6 Seat, Commodore Elect
The Mens 1N vs Virginia and GW
“We had a very strong finish to the weekend against 2 very strong opponents and we were all very happy with our final race being our fastest trip down the course. It is very fun to see that we are going faster and faster each race and its good to see continued improvement and I am excited to see where we can go as a crew.” - Zach Schuler ‘28, 1N8+ Bow Seat
