    In last year’s inaugural Thursday Evening Team Talk, the Club and Varsity crews heard Paul Enquist (77) outline strategy and tactics of his 1984 Olympic Gold finish in the U.S. Men’s 2x. This year, celebrated rowing historian Peter Mallory examines the distinctive origins and characteristics of the sport. All are welcome. Last year it was standing room only, so we ask you to help ensure enough seating (and pizza!). Please RSVP.

    Many of us have ideas, time and energy we’d like to contribute to the long-term growth of the team. Joining a CCAA Board meeting is a great way to learn about ongoing projects, meet the doers and get involved.

    The “Icebreaker” is the kickoff social event of the weekend. Food, beverage and catching up. Meet the coaches and athletes. The highlight of this year’s Icebreaker? Official dedication of the just-completed installation of 1980s Men’s Light Eight David M Emigh in the Student Recreation Center.

    This year’s reunion is a celebration of coaches past, present and future—a roster now 60 and counting. The keynote by historian Peter Mallory will take us through three centuries of rowing for hire on the Thames and follow the bright line from London to Seattle and the birth of modern competitive rowing.
