2007 Head of the Snake and the "Caesar"
Here are images of the 2007 Head of the Snake and the newest edition to the WSU Men's Crew fleet: "Caesar". The "Caesar" is a Hudson eight named after the donor, Brandon Caesar, who purchased it from Hudson. The "Caesar" was previously owned by the Canadian Women's National Team who won the Head of the Charles in this very same boat. Except for ten rowers and one coxswain, the "Caesar" was kept a secret from the coaches and the rest of the team until the Head of the Snake when it was finally unveiled. Some of the images below document the coaches' and team's reactions to the surprise reveal. The "Caesar" was first rowed by the WSU Varsity Lightweights for the 2007 Head of the Snake on October 26, 2007.
